Q-Park uses a diverse range of suppliers for parking related installations. The reasons include risc management, cost efficiancy, specific technical options most suitable to a location as well as service levels within a specific region. This broad range of options has many advantages, but also some challenges. Not all suppliers use the same tools or have the same possibilities. 

The entry and exit barriers as well as pay terminals are essential to the business and almost the only way to generate revenues. A 100% up-time is therefore the goal to aim for. As not all sites are manned 24/7 the organisation relies not only on technical possibilities but also on the customers regarding any malfunctions. This current system in place has led to some challenges in the past as not all malfunctions are reported in time and the lost revenues can be immense in a short period of time.

This ongoing project is aimed at direct reporting of the most common issues and also the issues resulting in the largest lost revenues. In the near future any malfunction will be reported almost in real-time and the correct third party is contacted immediately with all the needed information. Whether this is the own technical service department of an external supplier. 

Future still has to show the amount of lost revenues prevented, eventhoug during the first testing this project has shown to be very promising.
