At Q-Park the internal operational quality was measured by using a custom reporting tool on the platform Jotform. This gave some degree of standard reporting to compare all 140+ parking facilities in the Netherlands. However, this tool was only able to present the same data for all locations. Location specific information was not presented and compared over time.
In 2023 the need for a broader tool arose. After inventorizing the current situation and the needs a minimum viable product (MVP) proposition was developed. The new tool should include several of the existing characteristics but also include a wide range of new possibilities. In the new application (currently under development) it is possible to set up standardized questionnaires for all locations, as well as location specific questionnaires or a combination of both. Not only questionnaires based on opartional excellence can be used, but also any other field of expertise can introduce their own set of questions. (Marketing & Sales, Business Development etc.)
The new application is connected with other operational applications within the organisation: TOPDesk and QlikSense. QlikSense is used as a visualisation tool to present the data and being able to compare the same location over time or compare several locations with each other. TOPDesk is connected in order to increase speed in case an incident is observed that needs immediate action from a third party: Technical Services, real estate related supplier, ICT or others.
The new application has undergone intensive testing and will go live early 2024.
